Some of her hobbies include caring for a lot of indoor plants and listening to true crime podcasts. Aanika sees herself as a 50/50 split between clinic and research caring for oncology patients and understanding more about future cancer therapeutics, especially immune-checkpoint inhibitors. She went to the University of Arizona where she studied microbiology and Russian literature in translation. She also enjoys catching the newest scary movie in theatres with her partner and dancing the night away with friends! Despite busy times as an intern, Shannon never misses an opportunity to explore Baltimore with her best friend Chance, her cute goldendoodle. Shannon says her favorite attribute about the Osler Medical Residency is the sense of community and dedication to learning. She then continued her educational studies at Howard University College of Medicine where she developed her passion for Internal Medicine and achieved her medical degree. Her pursuit of medicine lead her to complete the George Squared post-baccalaureate program and ultimately earn a Masters in Physiology from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
She is a proud graduate of the illustrious Hampton University where she majored in biology. Shannon grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland alongside her three cherished siblings. Having seen a vibrant and collaborative community in Baltimore, Rohin is excited to train in the Osler Medical Residency program and its Urban Health primary care track. He pursued medical education at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and attend Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to learn theories and applications of health behavior change using community-based participatory research methods. After high school, he attended Emory University to study chemistry and music performance for undergrad, during which he led the campus community service and social justice coalition and developed an interest in medicine and public health. Rohin was born in Kansas and grew up in Georgia.
